Sophie Kahn is an Australian sculptor and digital artist living in Brooklyn, New York whose work challenges technology's inability to capture the unsteady human body. She was born in London and raised in Naarm/Melbourne, Australia. She received a BA (Hons) in Fine Art/History of Art from Goldsmiths College in London, a Graduate Certificate in Spatial Information Architecture from RMIT, and an MFA in Art and Technology from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Kahn has taught at Pratt Institute in New York and Columbia College in Chicago. She has participated in residencies at VCCA, NARS, the Museum of Arts and Design, and Pioneer Works, as well as the Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts Studio Program. Kahn is a Digital and Electronic Arts Fellow at the New York Foundation for the Arts.

Kahn's art has been shown in New York, Los Angeles, Washington, DC, London, Paris, Torino, Melbourne, Sydney, Tokyo, Osaka, Seoul, and Beijing. Recent exhibitions of Kahn's work include "Dematerialized" (online in Mozilla Hubs/VR), "In the Bardo" on Feral File, "Synthetic Corpo-Reality" with MEET Digital Art Center, Milan; "Transfigured" at C24 Gallery, New York; and "Out of Body – Sculpture Post-Photography" at bitforms, New York.

Her work has been included in numerous festivals, including the Japan Media Arts Festival and Transmediale in Berlin.
