Nicola Villa (b.1976) lives and works in Genoa. He earned a degree in architecture and has worked in the field of visual arts since the late 90s in painting, printmaking and mixed media. Digital media has been a structural part of Villa's work since the beginning of his artistic career, especially in the development of his physical works. In the last years, Villa capsized his classical practice approach to focus on digital media, trying to follow his existing visual language by combining digitized elements from physical artifacts and digitally native works through different practices and software.
His physical work has been exhibited in private and public galleries in Europe and the United States, while his digital production, which was first shown on Tezos in December 2021, has been collected by institutions like the Tezos Foundation.
